Until yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>Apparently ferritin at an all time low + a bad night + a really bad dream + a 05:30 alarm clock equals:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>sudo shutdown -h now<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"133\" data-end=\"162\">I remember our first meeting.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"133\" data-end=\"162\">I think I remember grabbing a coffee between two meetings.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"133\" data-end=\"162\">But after that?<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"133\" data-end=\"162\">Blank.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"133\" data-end=\"162\">I don\u2019t remember closing my eyes.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"133\" data-end=\"162\">I don\u2019t remember thinking: <em data-start=\"312\" data-end=\"329\">man, I\u2019m tired.<\/em><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"133\" data-end=\"162\">Nothing.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"133\" data-end=\"162\">One moment I was functioning normally.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"133\" data-end=\"162\">The next moment my brain apparently decided to execute:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>sudo shutdown -h now<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"401\" data-end=\"433\">I slept for at least 35 minutes.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"401\" data-end=\"433\">I woke up briefly, fully aware that I was absolutely exhausted.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"401\" data-end=\"433\">I remember rubbing my temples.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"401\" data-end=\"433\">Rubbing my eyes.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"401\" data-end=\"433\">Trying to reboot my brain manually.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"401\" data-end=\"433\">But after that?<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"401\" data-end=\"433\">Blank. Again.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"401\" data-end=\"433\">Apparently the shutdown sequence resumed.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"446\" data-end=\"530\">After lunch, my brain finally booted up properly again and I started feeling normal.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"446\" data-end=\"530\">What still amazes me is that my brain didn\u2019t do a tiny micro-sleep or a short doze.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"446\" data-end=\"530\">Nope.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"446\" data-end=\"530\">It apparently skipped straight past suspend mode and executed a full:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>sudo shutdown -h now<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>followed by an unplanned hibernate cycle.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"385\" data-end=\"432\">I should have listened to my body that morning.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"385\" data-end=\"432\">Getting out of bed at 05:30 already felt wrong.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"385\" data-end=\"432\">That should have been the clue.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"385\" data-end=\"432\">Instead of listening, I ignored it, went to the office anyway and apparently my brain later decided to force the issue for me.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"385\" data-end=\"432\">Can I blame this on my CEO Bob?<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"385\" data-end=\"432\">Brain, ZzzzZZzzzzzzZz,, Zzzzout..Zzzzz<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This weird title?
