Today marked the end of Tweakers Weight Loss Challenge #42, which I participated in — and I’m pretty happy with the results.
- Weight: 107.3kg (-0.6kg!)
- Chest: 105.5cm (-0.5cm)
- Waist: 106.5cm ( no change )
- Belly: 107cm (+ 0.5cm)
- Body fat: 26,4% ( average last week 27.1% )
I started TWL #42 at 114.8 kg. Over the course of 3 months, I lost 7.5 kg. My goal for this challenge was 108.0 kg — maybe not the most ambitious target to begin with, but reaching a goal feels a lot better than missing one.
The Tanita scale also helped a lot. The only thing I still don’t understand is one of its measurements: my fat percentage.
My weight is dropping, but my fat percentage isn’t decreasing as much.
- 28-04-2025: 28,4%
- 28-05-2025: 25,1% (probably an outlier)
- 28-06-2025: 26,4%
When I look at the 7-day average, my fat percentage dropped from 27.9% to only 27.1%.
Is the Tanita scale wrong?
The weight loss journey continues — next weigh-in in 7 days. Let’s see where it goes from here.
Brain out.
