A few weeks ago I wrote an article about the fog and the Grand Canyon.
Well… the fog lifted for a spell.
And now it’s back. With a vengeance.
Fuck.
After a good meeting with someone from work, I won’t mention names or go into details, the fog started to lift.
I felt lighter. My brain felt like it was rebooting in a proper way for the first time in months.
For the first time in a long while, things didn’t feel stuck.
I actually started doing a bit of programming again in the evening. It gave me energy!
Would this be the end of my bad spell?
Well?
Nope.
One Thursday evening, we got a phone call about a medical emergency.
Everything turned out okay in the end, but that call…
It hit hard.
My system took a hit and dropped back into that familiar degraded mode, and the brain fog returned.
What’s next?
That call to my GP I’ve been postponing for the past couple of weeks?
Yeah.
I think so.
Or to put it into my Brain Factory metaphor:
“Internal comms intermittent outage; systems up, coordination down.”
